Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how On A Tuesday, LLC, doing business as TripTrek (“TripTrek,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit playtriptrek.com, purchase a product, join a waitlist or mailing list, contact us, or otherwise interact with our services.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Your name, email address, and a phone number if you choose to provide one.
• Billing and shipping details, order and transaction information, and any name you submit to personalize a handmade game.
• Messages, questions, and other information you send to us.
• Device and browser information, IP address, and information about website requests and use that our website and service providers process to operate and secure the service.
• Information collected through cookies or similar technologies, particularly when you use Shopify checkout.

Our waitlist asks for an optional first name and either an email address or a US phone number. Please only submit personalization or contact details you have permission to share.

Payment information

Checkout and payment processing take place through Shopify and the payment providers enabled through Shopify. Our website sends your selected products, quantities, and optional handmade personalization to Shopify to prepare your checkout. It does not collect or directly store complete payment-card details.

Shopify and its payment providers process payment information under their own privacy practices. We receive the order and transaction information needed to manage your purchase.

How we use information

We use information as reasonably necessary to:

• Process, personalize, and fulfill orders, and communicate about purchases, preorders, shipping, and returns.
• Answer questions and provide customer service.
• Maintain waitlists and send requested launch notifications or marketing communications you have opted to receive.
• Operate and improve the website, prevent fraud and abuse, and maintain security.
• Maintain business records, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

How information may be shared

We share information with service providers when reasonably necessary to run the business. These include Shopify and payment providers, shipping and fulfillment providers, website hosting and infrastructure providers, and providers that help us manage communications.

Waitlist details are sent to a Google Apps Script service and stored in a Google Sheet. Our website also provides Shopify with the buyer’s IP address when preparing checkout to support its security and checkout services.

We may share information with professional advisers or with authorities when required by law, and when reasonably necessary to protect our customers, business, or legal rights.

We do not sell personal information for money.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files that a service stores in your browser. They and similar technologies can help a service remember choices, maintain a checkout session, and protect against fraud.

We have not installed advertising pixels or third-party analytics trackers on the TripTrek website. The website does not currently track your activity across other websites for advertising, and its behavior does not change in response to a browser “Do Not Track” signal.

Shopify and payment services may use their own cookies and similar technologies when you visit checkout, and may recognize your browser across other services they operate. Their own privacy notices explain those practices. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect checkout functionality.

Marketing communications

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting info@playtriptrek.com. Opting out of marketing does not stop necessary messages about an order you placed.

If you voluntarily choose the text waitlist, we collect your phone number for the requested launch notification. Contact info@playtriptrek.com to withdraw that request or ask us to remove your waitlist details.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, manage the purpose for which it was collected, maintain business and order records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention can vary by the type of information and the reason we need it.

Children

Our ecommerce website is not intended to collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, please contact us so we can review and address it.

This privacy statement is separate from the game’s recommended playing age of 13 and up.

Your privacy choices

Contact info@playtriptrek.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information where applicable by law, or to ask a question about our privacy practices. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some information may need to be retained for legal obligations or ongoing transactions.
